How did Rudraksha emerge?

The secret of its emergence lies in the holy pages of the great Hindu mythological book, Shiva Purana; Chapter 29, Vidveshwara Sanheeta.

According to it, many years back The lord Shiva did a tough penance for thousands of years for the welfare of the universe.

During this time, a ruthless demon named Tripurasur received a boon from Lord Brahma of incredible power.

This made him very strong, powerful, and energetic. He started to ruin the earth and heaven, in a desire to rule the world.

No, any deity could stop him. Even Brahma, the creator, and Vishnu, the sustainer were unable to kill him.

All the deities and lords went to Rudra and prayed to him to save the world from inhumanity, injustice, sins, and torture of Tripurasur.

When Lord Shiva begins to attain consciousness from years-long self- meditation; he suddenly became very upset by the pitiful situation of humans. The very soon he opened his eyes, tears started flowing and fell on the ground.
